The Bad Egg

I found THREE eggs this morning in one of the plant pots in the backyard. I think two of the eggs were laid yesterday — they felt cold to the touch.

The 3rd egg in the pile was still warm when I picked it up …

I like winter weather if it involves change–storms switching to heavy fog switching to wind switching to something. Not so much if it’s the same day after day. So here’s another fall picture to liven things up:

I took this picture two weeks ago. Now almost all the leaves have fallen, but before they did, the color on our neighbor’s tree was amazing:

It’s officially fog season until February. This may be the last blue sky day we’ll see here in Sacramento for awhile–it was amazing:

Went out to a 5 acre ranch in North Highlands. I went into the barn just to check it out, then turn around. This is what I see standing in my way, staring me down:

A goat who would not get out of my way until the owner came and chased it into the rose bushes outside. Which is not a good thing, since this goat LOVES eating rosebushes.
